One of the oldest public buildings in the United States, built 1713. Seat of the Massachusetts General Court. The Boston Massacre of 1770 occurred just outside its doors. Features lion and unicorn statues symbolizing the British Empire (a notable irony on American soil). Now a museum of the Revolutionary War era.
