Description

Founded 1837. A 24-acre greenspace designed by Frederick Law Olmsted and Calvert Vaux. One of the earliest public botanical gardens in the United States. Features winding paths, seasonal flowerbeds, a central lagoon with swan boat rentals, and a weeping willow nicknamed 'Lady in the Water.' Statues include George Washington (equestrian) and the Ether Monument.
